Fiscal Policy Priorities and Business Expectations

On March 13, the President of Ukrainian Oil&Gas Association Dmitrii Kulik and head of the Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy Nelia Privalova took part in a meeting with the Minister of Finance Alexander Danyliuk and members of European Business Association (EBA).

During the meeting, the Minister talked about top work priorities of his establishment, State Fiscal Service (SFS) reforming, in particular about structure optimization, recruitment using a transparent competition system, internal customs quantity reduction, disbanding tax militia and creation of the financial investigation service instead.

Renovated register of budget VAT reimbursement applications, which should facilitate the administration system, is one of the key aspects of the SFS reform. As noted by head of the committee Nelia Privalova, such initiatives meet expectations of Ukrainian Oil&Gas Association members, since transparent conditions for everyone, facilitation of taxation system and reduction of squeeze on business are the main purposes of the reform.

In future, Ukrainian Oil&Gas Association specialists plan to be fully engaged in taxation and customs policy harmonization dialogue with authorities on a permanent basis.
