Kiev Started to Address the Problem of Illegally Arranged Fuel Stations

In Podolskii district of Kiev, because of the dismantling that has begun, the number of operating natural gas filling stations has decreased by 80%.

In general, during the period 25-26 March, 8 illegally placed natural gas filling stations were dismantled in the capital. Dismantling was held in Podolskii, Obolonskii and Holosiivskii districts.

Head of the KSCA Vladimir Bondarenko said about it at the briefing.

He noted that 72 natural gas filling stations have already been dismantled in the capital since the beginning of this year, and 201 natural gas filling stations have been dismantled in the past two years. According to him, the losses from illegal natural gas filling stations total about UAH 569 million per year.

The problem of illegal natural gas filling stations in Kiev reached a critical level as early as 2015. Currently, on the eve of the Eurovision, the city government has intensified its active struggle against illegally installed fuel modules. According to the KSCA and market specialists, there are from 200 to 400 stations operating in the capital without the necessary permits, including violation of most fire safety rules.

Vladimir Bondarenko stressed that the city administration together with law enforcement agencies welcomes those entrepreneurs who conduct business within the framework of Ukrainian legislation.
