Press Conference on Liquified Gas Market Situation Held in Kyiv

The price for liquefied natural gas has passed its peak, and the market stabilization followed by a pullback of prices is expected in late September to early October.

This opinion was expressed by market participants and experts at the press conference “The Reasons for the Increase of LNG Prices” on August 29.

“The prices we can see on the price boards are speculative. Soon the situation will be settled. However, globally, market commoditization and elimination of the deficit will take place in about a month. When the market stabilizes, it will take some time, for example, a couple of weeks, to reduce the price to UAH 11–12 per liter. This is the level from which the prices began to grow in early August,” Artem Kuiun, the expert of the A-95 Consulting Group noted.
