UPG Strengthens Ukraine’s Defense Forces with 20 Pickups on its 20th Anniversary”
In March, the national network of gas stations, UPG, turns 20 years old. The company started its journey with the wholesale sale of petroleum products and later developed its own network of modern gas stations. Having withstood the test of time, UPG has maintained its position among the market leaders and continues to provide Ukrainian drivers with European-quality fuel.
Since the first days of the full-scale invasion, the company has been supporting the army and people affected by the devastating effects of war. In total, UPG has allocated more than UAH 150,000,000 to help the military and civilians during the extremely difficult year of 2022.
For its 20th anniversary, the company has strengthened the country’s defense forces with 20 new Mitsubishi L200 SUVs, which will be used by defenders on the front lines. The cars were handed over to the combined assault brigade “Lyut`”. To date, UPG has already sent 75 pickup trucks of the same make and configuration to the front and refueled the Armed Forces with more than 650,000 liters of fuel.
“Now, the most important thing is to defeat the enemy as soon as possible, so that our people stop dying, and our defenders return home alive. We continue to defend our country, fulfilling all our obligations and helping the army,” says Volodymyr Petrenko, founder and owner of the UPG group of companies.
The company provides not only cars to the front lines but also fulfills other requests of the military, including drones, copters, and accessories, thermal imagers and night vision devices, tactical equipment, generators and batteries, charging stations, solar batteries, clothes, food products, and more.
On March 27, UPG will treat the military and emergency service workers of Ukraine who stop by the gas station with free hot drinks. “This is our fist pressed to the heart, our ‘thank you,’ which cannot be put into words,” the company says.
UPG acknowledges that in the current circumstances, where the country’s right to exist is at stake, it is impossible to celebrate. What really matters today is hard work that brings victory closer.
