UPG Donates Mobile Hospital to Volunteer Medical Team
The UPG gas station network has donated a mobile hospital to the volunteer doctors of FRIDA Ukraine. This mobile clinic will save civilian lives in frontline and liberated areas. UPG invested over 3.6 million UAH into the renovation and equipping of this “hospital on wheels,” according to the company’s press service.
“We’ve been supporting FRIDA for nearly a year, and I’m proud of our partnership. After each mission, the doctors bring back real stories of Ukrainians for whom receiving medical assistance often means the difference between life and death. We kept asking ourselves: what more can we do for them, for Ukraine? This project represents UPG’s commitment to business responsibility and our ability to take action rather than stand aside. There’s nothing more important than the lives, physical and mental health of our people. Thank you to everyone who believes in and contributes to this cause, and of course, to our customers, whose support enables us to do more,” said Volodymyr Petrenko, founder and owner of the UPG Group of Companies.
This unique bus allows doctors to do what seemed impossible just yesterday: reach immobile patients in war-torn, remote areas of Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, and others, where access to specialized medical care was completely cut off. The mobile hospital enables FRIDA to provide numerous consultations, comprehensive examinations, and even surgical interventions on the spot. Seven specialists will be working on board, and it is expected that during two-day missions, more than a hundred civilians will receive help. Sumy region will be the first to welcome the volunteers in this capacity.
“This will expand not only the geography of our assistance but also its scope—the ‘Mobile Hospital’ is equipped with high-tech devices for disease diagnosis, including cancer screening for early detection of malignant tumors,” said project leader Vladyslava Romaniuk.
In nearly a year of collaboration, UPG and FRIDA have jointly brought quality specialized medical care to 10,000 Ukrainian civilians, delivering over 55,000 services. The volunteers have traveled hundreds of thousands of kilometers using UPG fuel—65,000 liters were allocated for rescue missions. Additionally, UPG helps set up field hospitals and provides the teams with meals and coffee on their journeys at its gas stations.
All this has been made possible through the charitable initiative “Energy of Goodness,” which has united the network’s customers. The warmth and compassion of Ukrainian hearts are making the world a better place. If you also want to contribute, purchase a cup of hot beverage at UPG gas stations—part of the proceeds will go toward these efforts. “We will send the energy of your kindness where it is most needed,” the company says.
